Delicious milk sweets for festivals
Delicious Milk Mysorepak 😋that tastes like ice cream Mysorepak because only milk powder is used . Extremely easy recipe for beginners who are not ready to make the traditional Ghee Mysorepak with besan .
for many of us who crave for that Mysorepak, it creates an apprehension about how to go about it and the fear of failure . it seems easy enough but not really as the cooking method has to be followed accurately for the final outcome .
Hence many deter from even attempting this world famous sweet . Here is where the simple but utterly delcious Milk mysorepak comes handy .
The method is pretty simple and anyone can get it right . The beauty of the recipe is even if you have not judged accurately the sugar syrup string consistency right, you can put back the mysorepak mixture and continue cooking till you get the the thick non sticky texture that we see in Mysore pak at the final stage . The recipe is given below .
Ingredients
1 cup sugar
3/4 th cup water to make a one string syrup
1 cup milk powder
1/2 cup ghee
Method
First prepare the sugar syrup by adding sugar and 3/4 cup water to a pan , allow to boil
Meanwhile mix the milkpowder and 1/2 cup ghee in a bowl to make asmooth thick batter .
when the sugar syrup gets one string consistency , which you can test by using the thumb and finger, it must pull slightly, the syrup must be frothy .
Add the milk powder ghee mixture in batches in the syrup with one hand while stirring continously with the other
soon you will see the mixture thickening .
test with finger to see if the mixture is noin sticky and wiull form a ball .
pour the thick mixture into a greased tray , garnish with nuts of your choice.
allow the milk mysorepak to cool for an hour
meanwhile before cooling completely, make the slice marks in the mixture set, to make slices easily later after the mixture has cooled down completely .
thats it !
