I’m Radha Natarajan, the voice behind Your Everyday Cook. Currently, I call Chennai (Tamil Nadu) home.
As a full-time mom and homemaker, I balance my time between food blogging and my passions for photography, travel, and gardening, backed by degrees in Marketing and Advertising.
My culinary adventures started in school, inspired by recipes clipped from magazines and cookbooks. Back then, cooking was more about experimenting and discovering new tastes than a passion.
Over the years, my palate was particularly shaped by my mother’s cooking, steeped in Palakkad cuisine, with influences from the various Indian states we've lived in—Gujarat, Karnataka, and Maharashtra.
After a hiatus from the kitchen due to professional commitments, I returned, fueled by a growing collection of handwritten recipes, to embrace a fulfilling life of cooking and raising my child. My blog, kick-started by my daughter as she headed off to university, was originally a place to archive my recipes but has grown into a daily exploration of culinary arts.
My blog champions simple, healthy meals that add diversity to everyday dining. I relish tweaking recipes to make them more efficient and economical, perfect for the busy individual. It also caters to travelers, dorm-dwelling students, and bachelors seeking to whip up easy meals with minimal ingredients and kitchenware.
Going forward, I’m excited to expand on these easy-to-make recipes, maintaining my focus on simplicity and practicality.

Because I strive to demystify cooking, presenting it as accessible, straightforward, and affordable. While I respect traditional cooking methods, I'm not shy about modifying a recipe to create something new and delightful.
However, I avoid distorting authentic dishes under new names. Every recipe on my blog is well-tested and repeatedly perfected before sharing.
Being a food blogger brings the thrill of constant culinary discovery, much to my family’s delight, and frequent travels allow me to immerse myself in local flavors, enriching my blog with fresh and exciting content.
