Cham Cham
Cham cham is a well known popular Bengal sweet made from fresh chenna using thick full cream milk , with a creamy delicious malai mava filling in the center..we can any kind of tasty filling according to our choice but malai mava taste is simply yummy .
ingredients
1 litre full cream milk make chenna with this milk by boiling , curdle with a tbsp or two of lime juice, cool the chenna, hang it in a thin cloth for about an hour .
2 cups sugar to make the syrup for cooking cham cham
4 cups water to prepare sugar syrup
2 tbsp saffron milk
1.5 tbsp sooji, fine rava to be added to crumbled chenna while making cham cham dough
1 -2 tsp milk or milk powder may be added while making a smooth dough
2 tsp sugar powder to knead with chenna dough
pinch of cardamom powder for the malai mava filling .
2-3 cardamom pods for adding to sugar syrup . some chopped dried fruits for garnish some coconut powder for rolling the prepared cham cham as a final garnish
to make the creamy malai mava filling
1-tbsp ghee
1/2 cup milk powder
pinch of cardamom powder
2 tbsp saffron milk
1 tbsp cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup milk .
