Dhaniya jeera aloo
Dhaniya jeera aaloo ( Coriander leaves, cumin seeds and potatoes curry ) makes a different spicy dish with buckwheat flour rotis, parathas, or rajgira / Amaranth flour pooris.
Ingredients:
2 cups cubed potatoes.
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 tsp green chilly paste
1 tbsp coriander leaves chutney paste ( vrat recipe) or use a paste of only coriander leaves .
1 tsp Ginger paste
Rock salt to taste ( sendha namak)
2 tsp lime juice.
2 tsp oil
chopped coriander leaves for garnishing.
Method:
In a pan , add oil, add cumin seeds, add the cubed potatoes, sprinkle little water, add the rock salt and all the spices like green chillies, coriander leaves paste, ginger paste.
Cover and cook till almost dry.
Remove when potatoes are soft, garnish with coriander leaves.
Add a tsp of lime juice. after removing from gas.
Serve these yummy spicy aaloo with rajgira pooris, or buckwheat flour parathas., rotis.
