Mawa modak -Ganesh Chaturthi
Mawa modak is a great Delicious treat for Ganesh Chaturthi .
As the festival is usually celebrated for 5-11 days in most parts , it is a good option to making the coconut jaggery modaks every day . mawa modaks are very easy to make and takes less than 12 minutes . Do try and iam sure you will be impressed . you can make your own flavors , like mango, dry fruits, kesar ,
ingredients
1/2 cup milk powder
1/4 cup milk approximately.....dont add all at once , only as needed to keep the mixture moist but not dry .
1 tbsp ghee some dry fruits ,
i added some chopped pistachios
pinch cardamom powder to flavor
little less than 1/2 cup powdered sugar depending on how sweet you like .
Method
To a apan ,add ghee ,add the milk powder ,milk and cook on a lowflame continously stirring tilit comestogether, add sugar before it becomes too thick . add cardamom powder,dry fruits sliced ,When the mixtturecomes together to a thick balllike consistency ,switch off flame .when cooled shape into round pedhas ,or take small ballsof the dough and use a modak mould ,to shape into modaks ,remove and arrange on a plate .
Serve as neivediya toLord Ganesha .
