Easy chapati dough
Prepare your chapati dough by kneading it in a mixer jar, not a stand mixer.
If you own a trusty, decades-old Sumeet mixie like mine, maximize its use for this task. While stand mixers are known for creating perfect dough with their slow-running hooks, you can replicate the same outcome in a regular mixie by employing short bursts of the blade. With just three pulses using the pulse mode or regular switch, your dough will be ready. All that's left is to shape it as desired.
This method is particularly beneficial for the elderly who may find kneading chapati dough painful. The mixie jar remains clean throughout the process as the inside is greased with oil. This technique is also handy for bachelors looking for a convenient approach. If dealing with a larger quantity, opt for bigger jars or prepare the dough in manageable batches.
Credit for this ingenious method goes to various YouTube videos. I stumbled upon it on a whim and fell in love with its efficiency.
