Millet rava ladoo

Pakatale rava ladoo
Delicious millet rava ladoo for this Diwali or for any time , healthy and yummy . you will hardly see the difference in the taste , it is equally melt in the mouth and prepared the same way as Ravyache ladoo , pakatale rava ladoo
Ingredients
2 cups Fine millet rava / millet rava is avaialble in stores or you can make your own by powdering any kind of millet in the blender to a very fine powder . I have used kodo millet / varagu millet
• 1 cup Sugar.
2 tbsp ghee.
• 3/4 cup Water.
• 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder.
some cashew nuts and raisins
Method
First fry the cashewnuts and raisins in 2 tsp of ghee , keep aside. in the same pan , now roast the millet rava slowly on a avery low flame adding more ghee ( use up left over ghee while roasting )
Roast till a fine aroma emanates. Keep the roasted millet rava aisde. Now prepare the sugar syrup , by adding the sugar in a pan , add water just enough to cover , and allow to form a single string consistency .
You have to e careful not to cross the stage as it will become hard . mix in the roasted millet rava , cardamom powder , fried cashew nuts and raisins.
Mix well with ladle, and cover with lid immediately . You will see the consistency of the ladoo mixture appears very loose and that is perfectly fine . after covering and allowing to rest for at least one hour .
You will see the mixture has become very firm on account of the sugar syrup . now crumble the mixture , and start shaping the ladoos .
Tips if you find it difficult to shape ladoos because the syrup turned hard, not to worry , keep on sim gas for a minute ,sprinkle some hot water allow the mixture to loosen a bit and start working on the shape of ladoos.
This is a very simple recipe and yoou cannot go wrong . It is made just like the rava ladoo in sugar syrup . follow my blog and you tube channel for more easy to cook recipes .
