Artisan bread ( No knead bread )

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups multigrain flour
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp jaggery or sugar
  • 1/2 tsp instant yeast
  • 3/4 cup water .
  • Method

  • Activate yeast in warm water with jaggery . 
  • Cover and keep .
  • Take a bowl , add the activated yeast
  • Add flour , salt , water , mix with a spatula till a rough ball of dough is formed .
  • Cover with a cling wrap. 
  • Keep in refrigerator for cold proofing.
  • After 8 hours or 12 hours , take out dough from the fridge . 
  • Sprinkle some flour on a work surface, place dough on it , with floured hands bring dough to a ball . 
  • Place in a baking tray or loaf tin . 
  • Cover and allow to proof for about 2 hours .
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 200 C for 25 to 30 minutes . 
  • Oven times will differ . 
  • Remove when top of bread is browned . 
  • Allow to cool on a rack . 
  • Slice when completely cool .
