White kurma with instant kurma powder
A delicious side dish white veg kurma always goes well with chapatis, dosa and pooris. This is a recipe for a handy white kurma powder which can quicken the process without having to grind basic masala for the gravy .
As always this is yet another handy recipe for bachelors , frequent travellers to have in their mini kitchen while on vacation .
you can buy a pack of frozen or fresh mixed veg assorted vegetables, cook in microwave to , add basic ground powder , little curd and an tasty side dish is ready to go with your frozen parathas, idiappam , or rotis .
Ingredients
2 tbsp cashews
1 tbsp rice flour ( both to be powdered together ) set aside
Now grind all the ingredients given below in a mixie jar .
1 tbsp fennel powder
1 tbsp poppy seeds
1 tbsp or less of garam masala whole spices or powder )
1 tsp cardamom powder
1 tsp cumin powder ( optional )
1 tbsp milk powder or dessicated dry coconut powder
1 tbsp coconut milk powder
2 tsp garlic powder
Method
Powder all the above well till smooth and add to ground cashew powder ,
Mix well store in a clean dry bottle .
Use as required while preparaing white kurma .
Notes
Please adjust quantities of each ingredient as per your preference ,but these are essential basic ingredients , cashews may be replaced with almond powder , or melon seed powder
