Caramel Mysorepak
Caramel Mysorepak is just a delicious 😋 good old Mysorepak with added flavour of caramel . It does give it a unique flavour lije eating some smooth ghee chocolate laced with faint hints of caramel .
Delicious caramel flavored Mysorepak
Ingredients:
1/2 cup chickpea flour
1/2 cup ghee
1/4 cup oil
1/2 cup sugar
3 tbsp caramel syrup
3 tbsp milk powder
1/4 cup water or just enough to cover the sugar
2 tbsp milk to clean the sugar syrup if needed .
Method:

Grease a tray with ghee to pour the mysorepak
Sieve the chickpea flour . Keep aside
Heat sugar with water, allow to melt.
Add 2 tbsp milk to clean the syrup
Remove the dust and foam from the sugar mixture syrup with a filter .
Add 3 tbsp caramel strup, mix well.
Allow the syrup to form a one string consistency.
Add the milk powder and the flour little by little .
Keep stirring, add hot ghee oil mixture at intervals.
Remove when mixture starts thickening and starts looking like fermented batter.
Pour into a greased tray.
Allow to cool.
Slice when warm but not completely
Remove the pieces when cooled completely.
