Bhindi Masala
Delicious Bhindi Masala, a spiced okra curry, is a delightful Indian staple originating from Punjabi cuisine. This dish is prepared in myriad ways with variations based on regional influences. Each area imparts its unique touch, while still retaining essential spices such as coriander, cumin, and more. The preparation can range from a gravy-based curry to a semi-dry mix, providing a versatile and flavorful experience.
Method :
Wash and dry the okras well .
Chop the okras to smaller pieces .
Next take a kadai / wok , heat it up , add oil .
Toast the cumin seeds , add bay leaves if you like .
Add the minced onions 🧅 and tomatoes 🍅
Furthermore sautee these till softened .
Add all other spices except the curds , sautee till the mixture looks shiny . Add litter water if the mixture starts thickening.
Finally add the whisked curd and allow to cook on a low heat . Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
Cover and keep . Serve with hot phulkas or even with Jeera rice .
