These are delicious soft fluffy milk bread rolls baked like pull apart breads .
you can use a blend of whole wheat and all purpose flour to bake these . They will be soft and tastes too .
2 cups all purpose flour
3/4 cup warm water or milk
1 tsp instant dry yeast
1/2 tsp salt
2-3 tbsp butter or oil
To a bowl, add 3/4 cup warm water or warm milk
add 1 tsp instant dry yeast
1 tbsp sugar or honey
allow the yeast to bloom.
add in salt, and 2 cups of flour in batches
mix well with a spatula in the bowl , till the flour has become moistened with the liquid
take this shaggy dough to a counter and start kneading .
after 5-8 minutes the dough will come together, then add the butter or oil and keep kneading till the dough
looks non sticky but elastic
keep the dough in an oiled bowl and cover with a cling wrap or tea cloth till
it doubles .
after an hour the dough would have risen, take it to a counter and with little flour for dusting
shape the dough to a log and cut required portions .
roll out each portion to a rectangle and fold both sides
roll up again and place in a greased loaf tin
make similar rolls of other pieces of dough .
cover these rolls with clingwrap and allow to rise . meanwhile mid way, preheat oven to 180 C
Bake these rolls after brushing them with milk in the preheated oven till the tops are golden .
remove from oven and brush with melted ghee or butter
cover with a moist cloth for 5 minutes .
